The Diocese of Des Moines has established a scholarship tuition organization (STO), which provides huge tax advantages for donors. This organization, the Catholic Tuition Organization (CTO), works directly with all the Catholic schools under its domain.

Donations to the CTO are used to provide tuition assistance to families whose children attend Iowa accredited non-public schools and whose income falls at or below three hundred percent of the poverty rate. The Catholic Tuition Organization will give at least ninety percent of the money collected to eligible families.

A financial contribution to the Catholic Tuition Organization will give the donor an Iowa tax credit and the gift of knowing they helped to make a Catholic education available to many children who previously did not have the opportunity to attend the school of their choice.
