The name of the School Tuition Organization serving all of the schools of the Des Moines Diocese is the “Catholic Tuition Organization, Diocese of Des Moines” or CTO.  The CTO serves 16 schools with approximately 6000 students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade.
   
   
2. What is the total dollar amount of tax credits that can be issued by the “Catholic Tuition Organization, Diocese of Des Moines”? Based upon the total number of students enrolled in member schools statewide, the CTO has been authorized by the Iowa Department of Revenue to issue up to $1,273,851 in tax credits each year.
   
   
3. How is CTO incorporated? This CTO is incorporated under the laws of the state of Iowa and is exempt from federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Service code.
